Suntory CM “Song Relay of Hope”

Suntory Group started airing special commercials on television on 2011/4/6.

To encourage the victims of the recent disaster in Japan, Suntory requested the celebrities who have appeared on the company’s ads in the past to record two famous song by the late Kyu Sakamoto: “Ue o Muite Arukou” (“I look up as I walk”, better known as “Sukiyaki” outside Japan) and “Miagete Goran Yoru no Hoshi o” (“Look up at the stars in the night”). Each song was recorded as a singing relay, and Seiko takes the last part on the 60sec version of “Ue o Muite Arukou“.

Fujifilm Skincare Product “ASTALIFT” CM

Fujifilim started airing a television commercial for the skincare product “ASTALIFT”, featuring Seiko, Miyuki Nakajima, and Goro Inagaki.

New “Diosa” commercial on TV

Diosa
Seiko recently taped a new TV commercial for a hair color brand “Diosa” by Schwarzkopf Henkel. It will be aired starting from April 6th.

The commercial was taped in a futuristic set with a luminous floor and was aimed at the women around age 40. A vitality-filled “cuteness of an adult” has been fully demonstrated by Seiko, who has overwhelming support from women of the same generation.

To emphasize the foam to penetrate the beautifully-finished hair, every scene had wind blown to her face. She showed her willing to meet the difficult request and continued to retake the scene until the director gave an “OK”.

Message to the Disaster Victims

It has been 11 days since the disaster hit the northeastern Japan on March 11th. My heart almost burst thinking of the casualties and victims. The reports on the damaged areas from the television and radio kept me speechless. How painful and sad it must have been for those of you who lost the loved ones or had to take refuge. My condolences and deepest sympathy.

I keep asking myself everyday if there is something else besides praying for you. I wonder if there is something I can do besides making financial donation. Now is the time we should get together, help each other, and overcome. It is very important to care about people around us and love them. I would like to leave this feeling, love, and power to the songs. That’s all I can do, but I want to reach your hearts through singing. I will always pray for you and your happiness.

Please don’t give up. I will always be rooting for you!
